Encountering God to empower others and engage with him in all areas of life.
All of the KST tracks provide a thorough grounding in theology, biblical studies, history, culture and mission. They are designed to equip you through in-depth teaching, practical studies, tailored assignments and a supportive learning environment.
All students in the first year of KST follow the same curriculum, providing a foundational grounded in theology, biblical studies, mission and spirituality. We complement this with a study skills programme, designed to give all students the skills you need to succeed with the academic aspects of the course.

In the second and third year, the curriculum diversifies with core modules and four of the modules are tailored to your track.

Facilitating worship in different contexts
Ability to lead yourself and others spiritually, pursuing spiritual formation
Gaynor is the Track leader for Theology and Christian Spirituality. She studied at King’s Bible College and Training Centre in Oxford and then spent nine years on the leadership team. Gaynor has a passion for everyday spirituality and exploring how theology and spiritual practices interact with community life, learning, family and workplaces. She has a particular interest in how the creative arts shape and form our theology and practice as individuals and communities. Gaynor lives in Derby and spends her week as a piano teacher, as part of the Synergy network team, leading a house church called The Source, as part of the World Horizons Derby team and leading a community choir. She is currently studying for a Certificate in Song Therapy. This leaves plenty of time for baking, drinking coffee and watching Eastenders.
"Having done KST, I have become more confident in expressing my views. Others have noticed this, and it is opening up opportunities at church."
