Join us for this track weekend module that digs deep into the book of Acts and explore the implications for mission.
We are going to delve into the New Testaments foremost missional book. We will track its themes and structure to allow them to shape our understanding of the mission of God as it makes its first moves beyond the Jewish people. We will look at why that was required and how the early church coped with the move. We will look at the churches that were formed and how they responded to the Holy Spirit’s moves beyond their comfort zones. As a result we will learn lessons of contextualisation, as the gospel moves into new cultures, in the light of a fast-changing multi-cultural world that we live in.
