New KST Staff Member

27 Mar 2024

KST is delighted to welcome Harriet Ferris to the team as our new Operations Manager.

Working 2.5 days a week, Harriet will oversee the efficient functioning of KST’s administrative processes and communications. She is taking on a new role within the team, combining some of the work previously shared by Lizzie Hollow and Maria Skoyles.

Harriet studied Geography and International Development at The University of Derby, which she later followed with a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology of Development with Swahili at SOAS in London. As well as living and working in settings across the UK, Harriet has lived in Kenya and Malaysia. She brings a wealth of cross-cultural experience and she is passionate about KST’s mission to nurture leaders for a dynamic and interconnected world.

Outside her responsibilities at KST, Harriet dedicates her time to volunteering for a charity in Tanzania, and contributes to initiatives aimed at sustainable development and social welfare. She’s also involved in London’s vibrant art and music scene, organising events that foster creativity and community engagement.

On Sundays, you’ll find Harriet worshipping at her local church in London, where she is actively involved in programs like the Alpha course and her connect group. Her commitment to holistic development, both personally and professionally, reflects her belief in the transformative power of education and faith.

We’re excited to have her on board!

Harriet says, “I’m looking forward  to supporting  everyone involved at KST and helping spread the word about all the amazing courses we offer. I truly believe studying theology can be incredibly transformative, and I’m thrilled to be a part of making that happen for more people”.

The remainder of Maria and Lizzie’s duties will be covered by Academic Dean Ruth Norris when she takes on an additional day of work per week from September 2024. Together with our fantastic team of mentors, tutors and volunteers, we continue to offer theological education that is accessible, affordable and transformational for people’s lives.
